Brianna's Yoga Love Story

I've had an on and again, off again love affair with yoga since I was a kid.  I found that the opportunity to get into my body allowed me to slow my mind in ways that I didn’t understand at a young age.

Always nerding out about the brain and body connection, I decided to follow my intuition and become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).  Under the teachings of Keisha Battles and Candace Jennings of I Am Yoga in Charlotte, NC in 2021, I began the life long study of historic yogic texts and learned more about the art of the practice versus the focusing on the fitness of it.

Credentials

RYT200 - Completed in 2021 with I Am Yoga, Charlotte NC

Trauma Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM) - Completed in 2022 with The Trauma Conscious Yoga Institute, VA Beach, VA

Key Yoga Benefits

Cultural Relevance: Our services are designed through a decolonized approach, acknowledging and honoring diverse backgrounds. This creates an environment where BIPOC individuals feel seen, heard, and welcomed.

Stress Reduction: Yoga's mindful movements, breathing exercises, and meditation contribute to stress reduction, offering valuable tools for coping with the daily challenges faced by marginalized communities.

Community Connection: We work to ensure a space for connection, understanding, and shared experiences. Building a sense of community contributes to mental well-being and a supportive network.

Trauma-Informed Practice: Recognizing the potential impact of historical and systemic trauma, our classes are infused with trauma-informed principles, creating a safe environment for healing.

Mind-Body Harmony: Yoga encourages a harmonious connection between the mind and body, promoting self-awareness and facilitating emotional balance.
